Nicole Locorriere, LMFT
I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist (lic #37FI00208500) in the state of New Jersey. For the past few years I’ve been working in private practice helping individuals and couples understand the impact of their context on their problems. Essentially, I ask “what has happened to you?” rather than “what is wrong with you?” Here’s a quick highlight reel of my professional experience:
Owner of Prologue Therapy & Relationship Counseling
The only certified Discernment Counselor in Hunterdon County
Level 2 Gottman Method couples therapy certificate
Certified telehealth provider (CTMH)
Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seton Hall University
B.A. in Psychology from West Chester University

I am currently licensed as an associate in marriage and family therapy in New Jersey. I have a history working with different populations of people with my years of experience at a non-profit agency. I enjoy working with individuals seeking to find their voice as well as work through their experiences. I believe it is important for me to create a safe, judgment-free space for people to share their story. People should be able to process anything that may be impacting them or their relationships such as life transitions or trauma.
I am trained in Structural Family therapy which has given me experience with couples and families to work towards enhancing communication, empathy, and support. I also use aspects of Emotion Focused Therapy and Psychodrama which with my colorful history in performing arts allows me to approach things in a creative manner. I’m familiar with topics such as anxiety, depression, relationship and intimacy issues, sexual violence, domestic violence, substance abuse, LGBTQ+ related issues, and other life stressors. My goal as a therapist is to help clients explore and empower their voice, process, and reach their goals individually and relationally.
