2025
2026Prologue Therapy & Relationship Counseling is a private outpatient practice in Flemington, NJ. We provide addiction counseling for substance use and for behavioral patterns like gambling, food, or screens. Some people come here for the first time, and some come back after a setback. Both are welcome.
No. Prologue is a private outpatient therapy practice. There is no residential stay, no medical detox, no intensive outpatient program, and no program to enroll in. You schedule sessions with an addiction therapist, at our Flemington office or by secure video, and you go home afterward.
Counseling here covers five areas:
Sessions are one-on-one individual therapy with an addiction therapist, in a non-shaming environment. What you work on follows what's happening for you, but the work usually includes:
You decide what you're working toward: harm reduction or stopping altogether.
We work with adults and adolescents, and we also support families and loved ones who are dealing with the day-to-day effects of someone's addiction.
If you're exploring counseling for a teenager, our teen therapy page describes that work in more detail.
If the person you're worried about is a partner, a parent, or a friend, you can reach out too. Support for loved ones is part of what we do.
The office is at 4 Main Street in Flemington, with parking in the rear of the building. We see people from Flemington, Clinton, Lambertville, and surrounding Hunterdon County communities in that office, and by secure video anywhere in New Jersey.
Hours are by appointment only: Monday–Thursday 10am–7pm, Friday 10am–5pm, weekends upon request.
Payment is self-pay. We don't participate in insurance panels. We do work with insurance as an out-of-network provider: if your plan has out-of-network benefits, you may be reimbursed after your deductible. Our biller can check your benefits before treatment begins and file claims on your behalf.
What's said in session stays between you and your therapist, with the standard mandated-reporter and safety exceptions.
