2026Prologue is a marriage and family therapy practice in Flemington, New Jersey. Our job is to look at our clients-- individuals, couples, or families-- in the context of their relationships. Sessions happen at our historic Main Street office, or online anywhere in New Jersey. We opened in June, 2022 and since then have grown to eight clinicians who all have different specialties, schedules, and price points to help as many people as possible in our community and beyond.
Hunterdon County has voted us best in Therapy & Counseling three years in a row: 2024, 2025, and 2026.

In addition to our clinical team, we also have our office manager Jeff Hornberger, and April Schmitt, from Advanced Billing Services, handing all our clients' insurance matters. You may also meet our senior morale specialist, Holly the Mini Goldendoodle, around the office.
Nicole Locorriere founded Prologue in 2022. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the practice's clinical supervisor and director. On how she works with clients, she states: "I like to ask 'what has happened to you?' rather than 'what is wrong with you?'" On her own life, she says, "I finally grabbed the pen for my own life story, and I want to help you do the same." On treatment goals, she says, "Our ultimate goal at Prologue is to be out of work. We want you to heal and not need us anymore."
